When I walked into their hotel room at the Southern Palms Hotel, to begin photographing their wedding, the laughs began. No holds barred was the order of the day, and the irony of life, is that he was a cage fighter. Needless to say, his bride was well protected.
When I'm asked to do a small, intimate wedding, I get the tickles all over. There is just something about deciding to become man and wife with minimal planning and few details that I love. Photographing this destination wedding was all of that, and more. Tracey and Stuart had known each other for over 30 years, but their lives, initially, took different paths. But as life does, it throws curve balls at us, and our directions change. Tracey and Stuart found one another again, and this time, there was no letting go.
